This might be the most important section in the whole resource page! Below will be a number of ways to help bring in the most donations to your hospital. What's even better: we constantly will continue to add ideas to this section that other hospitals share with us, so continue to check back and see what's new!
If you haven't already, sign up for our "Fundraising Services"
This may sound biased, but it's really a great way to help double and even triple the amount of funds for your hospital. Some of the key benefits hospitals have seen include:
- Unique, branded hospital donation page telling your hospital's story!
- Receiving LARGER donations from pet owners because of the provided tax receipts from the myBalto Foundation!
- Our Annual Fundraiser for your hospital- we find $1000 worth of gifts to offer in a sweepstakes to your local pet community!
- Connection to your E-commerce store on our myBalto app so that your pet owners will spend more money at your hospital instead of buying from Amazon and Chewy.
- Peer-to-peer and Team fundraising activities (see more on this below)!
Plus, we guarantee the services, which means that if we don't raise you an additional $2000 (outside of the "round-up" charge), we will reimburse your hospital the difference. Your hospital can literally only make money off of this service (or break even).

This is the easiest way to bring in more donations to your hospital without doing any work. We have a select list of partners we work with, who will not only provide an awesome, unique service to your hospital, but who will also give back a portion of their profits back to YOUR myBalto Foundation account! It's a Win-Win for everyone and it can help add a few thousand dollars to your fund every year!
Peer-to-Peer and Team Fundraising Activities are a quick way to raise funds for your hospital and involve your community!
Is someone running a marathon at your hospital and he/she wants to have their friends and family donate funds to your myBalto Fund? Have them create a fundraising campaign on your branded hospital website and share it on their social media! Its quick and easy to do! You can also invite your clients to do it to get the community involved in helping pets at your hospital!
Other ideas include:
- Any athletic activity (Marathons, Walk-a-thons, Triathlons)
- Bowl-a-thon: friendly and competitive, a great way to bring in donations to your hospital
- Serve-a-thon: raise funds by encouraging the community to support the completion of service projects
- Matching gift drives: partner with a local business and have them agree to match 1/2 or all of the donations earned in a certain period
- For hospital groups: create a friendly competition amongst your hospital teams with who can raise the most funds and offer a fun reward for the winning hospital!
- Step Challenge: invite your pet owners to participate in a monthly step challenge! Build healthy habits while having them bring in donations to support their efforts! Then reward the highest stepping clients with a fun reward!
- Pub/dessert crawl: get to know your community with a pub or dessert crawl! Have owners fundraise prior to the event and ask the local bars to give a discount to your participants. Then announce the top five fundraisers throughout the evening!

Did you come in under budget on a treatment plan for an owner's pet? If its not a large amount, you can ask the pet owner to donate the "credit" on their account to the myBalto Foundation and continue to help pets in need at your hospital!
Plus, the myBalto Foundation will provide them a tax-receipt at the end of the year on your behalf!
Matching program with corporate sponsors!
Many veterinary supply companies and manufacturers are looking for ways to give back to their local hospitals! Ask your representatives if they would be willing to do a "donation match" during a certain month of the year to help double the amount of donations at your hospital!
