myBalto Foundation FAQ

  • Any owner is elibile for help from the myBalto Foundation! All owners are automatically approved for assistance as long as they meet the following parameters:
    • They have a pet and are unable to cover the cost of their pet's medical treatment.
    • The funds are NOT being used for "cosmetic" reasons (i.e. tail docking, ear cropping, benign mass removal, declawing procedures).
    • Your hospital has enough funds in their myBalto account

The owner's financial situation or the pet's prognosis are NOT factors necessary for approval. That means we don't care about their credit score or the Care Credit status. If you want to help them, that is good enough for us!

  • 95% of the time, yes! We do have some exceptions for individuals who do not have a smart phone or individuals who left the house in a hurry and forgot their phone.

      • We recommend submitting the claim as you would normally through our online portal and emphasize to the owner that they need to finalize the verfication at home. Because the owner is automatically
