How to set up myBalto Foundation

Don't have a myBalto Account?

  • Once you complete your initial meeting with our team, you will receive an invite to get started with your myBalto Account.



You must have a myBalto Account to move forward!

How to Configure

This section details how to configure the myBalto Foundation Platform and ezyVet integration.

Get ezyVet Partner API Credentials

The following outlines the steps required to get your ezyVet Partner API credentials.

1.) Log into ezyVet with relevant admin privileges

2.) Click on the ‘Admin’ tab

3.) Use the drop-down box on the left of the screen and select Integration

4.) In the Integration Search Box type and select “API Partner”

5.) Select MyBalto Foundation from the Partner drop down box and then click ‘Save’

6.) Underneath ‘Scopes’ click ‘Select All’ and then Click ‘Save’

7.) Click ‘Download Credentials’. Your browser will then download a file named credentialsapi.txt.

Upload Credentials to the myBalto Foundation Platform

The following section details how to upload your ezyVet API credentials to the myBalto Foundation Platform.

8.) During onboarding, In the myBalto Platform, upload your credentials (.txt file)

9.) Hit "Verify"

Add myBalto Foundation Line Item to ezyVet

In order to add the myBalto Foundation Donation to your ezyVet instance please follow the below instructions.

1.) Log into ezyVet with relevant admin privileges

2.) Click on the ‘Admin’ tab

3.) Use the drop-down box on the left of the screen and select Products

4.) By default, a "New Product" page should open up, and the below information will need to be filled out:

  • Product code => 9999
  • Product Name => "myBalto Foundation Donation" (please copy and paste this exactly as it is).
  • Primary Group => Service Fee
  • Properties:
    • Excluded from Staff Sales Figures => Yes
    • Has Direct Cost (Has Markup) => No
    • Available on Customer Panel => No
    • Type => Standard
    • Is Controlled Drug => No
    • Relates to Patient Death => no
    • Bundle => No
    • Is Bought => No
    • Is Sold => Yes
    • Inventory Track => No
  • Pricing ($)
    • Department => make sure it's available for your entire organization / locations.
    • Price => 1.00
    • Tax Rate => E (exempt) 0%
    • Inc. Tax => Calculation should equal 1.00
    • Service Fees => No

5.) Once you have added the above information, click on "Save"

6.) After you added the myBalto Foundation product, go ahead and head back to the myBalto Foundation platform and complete your onboarding steps.

Disabling the Integration in ezyVet

If you no longer wish to use the integration, it can be disabled by following the below instructions.

1.) Log into ezyVet with relevant admin privileges

2.) Click on the ‘Admin’ tab

3.) Use the drop-down box on the left of the screen and select Integration

4.) Use the search bar on the left-hand side of the screen to search for the integration

5.) Select the integration and look on the right-hand side of the screen for the DISABLE button

6.) Select DISABLE

7.) A Pop-up will appear where you can confirm the disable by selecting DISABLE again
